We have never had problems like this with any other shoes - tap shoes or otherwise - for my daughter, so must assume the problem is with the shoes. They are really cute though. The problem I have is that the toe box is fairly flat, and with a stiff upper, it leaves indentations on my daughter's foot across the arch. She has skinny feet with a very low arch, too.
