With these boots you only need a light weight and is a good fit for walking a lot with out sock pulling down. I think it would be to warm with heavier sock. The workmanship and the materials are first class comparing to some cheaper model. I think the size with the insulation layer in the boots should be one size up for a comfortable wearing.
